The Dance

The Dance

Frail and brittle thoughts,
Empty eyes
Of loneliness,
Whispered hopes,
Washed to and fro.
Self doubt in swirling mists
Darken corners
Of her Soul.

Shimmering light
Awakens love,
Gentle Ripples in her heart.
Strengthened hope,
Upward gaze of radiance bright.
Awkward steps,
Timidly taken,
She walks.

Twirling, laughing,
Arms outstretched.
Joyful dancing
In brightness gleaming.
Gracefully bounding.
Her tears cascading
Mingle with mine.
In Beauty, peace and courage,
She leaps.

Shame's Journey

Shame's Journey

Mocking glance
Of pounding words
Hollow echoes in my mind.
Soul piercing, fake masks.
Failure.

Scornful sneers,
Icy fingers
Coldly grope my clutching heart.
Revealed agendas.
My Loss.

Wooden smiles
Paint love, concern,
Empty lies of prideful eyes.
Hidden motives born.
Naked.

Lost, alone,
Hopeless despair,
Whispers catch, twirl in heartache.
Murmured prayers. Silence.
Grief filled.

Gentle Light,
Shame cowers low,
Shimmering rays envelop.
Tumbled waters wash.
Hopeful.

Timid steps,
Tender Jesus.
Cloak of darkness, falls forgotten.
Honoured, tall, serene.
I dare,
Courageously.
I hope.
